A very important award is given each year by a local student committee to their favorite film from the GREEN PLANET BLUES showcase. It’s a special symbolic award and this year, the young students from Sinaia elected “The Last Days of Shishmaref” by Jan Louter. “Is indeed a special award for me. It’s amazing that these very young people enjoyed and elected from all the films at GREEN PLANET BLUES, especially my film, which is not on heavy fast cut like the videos they are used to nowadays. My film is exactly the opposite of this kind and still they liked it… I am honored and I thank them very much. It’s a nice surprise!” said Jan Louter at the award winning ceremony on Saturday, 30 January, 2010.
